Yes, you are right, completely forgot about 1700 pages. Those are neither relevant for exams nor for knowledge purposes. Most of them are duplicates of these short notes. However, you can keep the Manual (2000 pages book) for future reference while practicing in the Fraud Examination world.

Typical steps involved are as follows:
You must be a member to register for the Certified Fraud Examiner exam. Check your eligibility before joining and taking the test. Membership fees for Indian Residents are 60-70 US$.
Before you register for the exam, first you should study and get yourself ready for the exam.
Then you have to register for the CFE Exam. Documents required shall be only your graduate certificate or marksheet, nothing else is required. Exam fees of 450 US$ need to be paid.
Once you are done with your studies, and enrolled in the exam, the next step is to book a slot for your exam. You may choose any particular day or time at your convenience but subject to availability.
Now it’s time to appear as per the booked slot and pass the exam. The result will be announced immediately upon submission of the paper.
